Alexia Amvrazi has been working as a professional travel writer and editor for 25 years. She has specialized in travel, gastronomy and wellness writing for English language publications in Greece and abroad, including Fodor’s ‘Greece’, ‘Greek Islands’ and ‘Thailand’ guide books and the Fodors.com website, for over 15 years, acting as a regular contributor to the Wall Street Journal Europe, the Huffington Post, the BBC, Al Jazeera English and local travel-focused websites such as Greece-Is, Insights Greece (which she co-founded and was Editor in Chief of in 2019-2022), Travel.gr, the AthensGuide, Insider magazine and more. Apart from her ongoing career as a travel writer/editor, Alexia has also worked as a live radio host presenting an interview-centred daily show between 2004-2014 on the City of Athens’ AIR FM, has featured in travel documentaries as a co-presenter/key subject and has produced and presented several episodes of the podcast Sense in the City Athens. She’s the co-author of the globally marketed book ‘111 Places in Athens That You Shouldn’t Miss’ and is currently the Editor in Chief of Travel.gr English, under the umbrella of the leading Proto Thema newspaper and website.
