My experience at CYA during Summer 2023 has impacted my personal, academic, and professional growth deeply. I was able to gain independence, and adapt to a country and a culture that is very different from the American standards, and I got to gain an understanding of what are my passions and my interests for my career and personal drives in the long run.
What advice do you have for prospective students who are interested in or planning to study abroad with CYA?
One piece of advice I would give prospective students is to not be afraid to do experiences alone on Greek land. I think that in the U.S. we are used to always being in a group and not doing many things if we don't have our peers' approval or if they are not with us. However, in Greece, I learned that it's ok to have different interests, wills, and plans than my friends. Therefore, I explored Athens and the surrounding areas at my own pace, and this allowed me to enjoy it more than if I didn't do it because I was scared of doing it alone.
please select any of the following that apply to you, and that you would be willing to share about your CYA experience with other students:
