Based on your experience with CYA, what are some of the benefits of spending a semester or summer abroad? How has studying abroad contributed to your personal, academic, and professional development?

Studying abroad enabled me to learn about new cultures from a firsthand perspective. I got to experience new places, people, and ways of life by being able to explore Greece and Europe. Hearing from locals on how they lived was one of my favorite ways to learn about a place. The cultural awareness and open-minded perspective cultivated by studying abroad will stay with me for life.

What advice do you have for prospective students who are interested in or planning to study abroad with CYA?

There will definitely be moments where it feels surreal as you are fully living in a new place. Don't be afraid to talk to locals, Greek people are super friendly. Connect with your peers as they are also going through the same feelings and you are all there for the same transformative experience. Have an open mind and explore as much as you can!
