CYA gave me an abundance of opportunities to discover. I have not only been able to discover myself as a person, but I have been able to decenter myself and learn about the world beyond myself. In the academic space that CYA has provided, I was able to develop my career goals while indulging in a significant amount of academic and professional skills in and outside of the classroom. One thing I truly appreciated about CYA was the sponsored trips that took us to different parts of Greece. Here I was able to learn about various cultural and historical significance and in the process, meet new people.
What advice do you have for prospective students who are interested in or planning to study abroad with CYA?
For prospective students interested in studying with CYA, I would encourage them to take in every moment and every opportunity. Greece is a beautiful country with a significant and deep history, making it a great place to learn. Engaging with the professors, faculty, peers, and locals provided me with a greater outlook on the world we live in and gave space for me to look within as a student. One thing I wish I had known before studying abroad is more about the local language as well as the cultural and societal norms. It would have been more beneficial for my experience, but I have been able to learn as I went along thanks to CYA
