Beginning Modern Greek II

Elementary Modern Greek (MGKL-102) for those with some knowledge of the language or completion of 60 hours of instruction. By the end of this course students will be able to handle orally a wide range of daily life situations (introducing oneself, ordering coffee and food, making reservations, shopping, requesting and giving directions, expressing wishes and aims, describing events in the past, and make plans for the future and interact with locals; will further develop vocabulary and grammatical structures; and write letters, short reports and stories.

CYA strongly encourages students to study Beginning Modern Greek II while they are in Athens. CYA believes that the study of Modern Greek provides valuable access to the life and culture of contemporary Greece and aids in the acculturation of students.
