Angelos Papadopoulos holds a BSc in Archaeology from the University of Bournemouth and an MA in Archaeology from the Institute of Archaeology, University College London. After receiving his PhD from the University of Liverpool he was employed by the Department of Antiquities in Cyprus.
His research interests focus on the prehistory of the Eastern Mediterranean, especially the interconnections between the Aegean, Cyprus and the Levant, Bronze Age iconography, warfare and burial practices, while his publications focus on the above topics.
Angelos has been involved in a number of field, research and museum projects in Greece, Cyprus and the UK. He has co-organized four international conferences in Dublin, Athens and Nicosia and is currently working towards the publication of Cypriot and Mycenaean pottery assemblages from Cyprus and Israel, as well co-directing the publication project of the Kissonerga-Ammoudia cemetery at Paphos, Cyprus.
