The proceedings of CYA’s 1st International Academic Conference “Thucydides the Athenian.” Organized by Nanno Marinatos (Professor Emerita, former Head of the Department of Classics & Mediterranean Studies at the University of Illinois, and CYA Classics professor) and Robert K. Pitt (CYA professor of Topography, Epigraphy, and ancient Historiography) on June 26th – June 29th 2018, this edited volume brings together global scholars in Thucydides’ birthplace, to present and discuss their research on the ancient Greek historian.
