As a student-athlete, Finn Weber struggled to make the decision to leave his soccer team at Skidmore College and study abroad. For him, soccer is an important commitment and great passion. Although Finn wanted to live the experience of studying abroad, he was worried it would mean losing touch with the sport.

After communicating with the CYA about his concerns, the CYA Student Affairs department arranged for Finn to join a local Greek soccer team while in Greece! Fast-forward to the end of the Spring ’22 Semester, and Finn’s worries did not only disappear, but he managed to keep a close relationship with the sport, and stay in great shape!

We met up with Finn at the end of the Spring ’22 semester to talk about Soccer, studying abroad in Greece, and his experience of playing with a local team. Watch the full interview below:

After a semester of playing soccer in Greece and gaining a wealth of new experiences, Finn will return to Skidmore College to be a team captain in the fall!
