As part of CYA’s course Excavating Prehistory on an Aegean Island: The Gourimadi Archaeological Project, students take part in hands-on archaeological fieldwork alongside academic study.

In this video interview, CYA student Olivia Hutchkins reflects on her time at the Gourimadi excavation, sharing what it was like to work on an active archaeological site, rotate through different trenches, process finds, and engage directly with Greek archaeology for the first time.
