I learned a new language, I gained valuable experience in living and traveling abroad. I have gained valuable connections with immensely helpful professors. The most helpful thing to my academic development was my ability to study in the field, to not spend all of my time in a classroom, but to go to archaeological sites and museums and have lessons there.

What advice do you have for prospective students who are interested in or planning to study abroad with CYA?

Make sure you do not get carried away by being in another country, stay focused on your schoolwork. Do give yourself free time to travel, though, take advantage of the fact that you are abroad. If you are traveling, make sure you give yourself some time to plan, otherwise you might be left not doing things.

Briefly describe a cultural experience you had that was significant to you in any way.

I got to go with friends to the carnival parade in Athens, we all had costumes and masks, and it was absolutely wonderful.

What is your favorite Greek food?

Pork Gyros wrapped in Pita.

What extracurricular activities were you involved with in Greece?

Band, and trips to other parts of Greece.
