CYA is an incredible program that allows students to experience living in Athens and being a part of the community. This program and this year have truly been life-changing and have directly impacted the trajectory of my future career, unlike any other program possibly could have. The experiences I gained inevitably paid off in my graduate school acceptance to Trinity College Dublin!

What advice do you have for prospective students who are interested in or planning to study abroad with CYA?

Soak every moment in because it truly passes so quickly.

How was the political climate in Greece different from what you are used to? If applicable, describe a time when you had to navigate a political conversation during your time abroad.

Greece is much more accepting in many ways than America, and there is a shared sense of community among the Greeks. They like foreigners who take an interest in the country.
